News| 2017 Seminar on Museum Preservation of Jiangsu Province Opens in Xuzhou

      From Oct. 24th to Oct. 25th, "The 2017 Seminar on Museum Preservation of Jiangsu Province" opened in Xuzhou. The seminar was sponsored by the Collections Preservation Professional Board of Jiangsu Provincial Museum Society, and organized by Xuzhou Museum and Changzhou Museum. The attendants included more than 80 professionals in heritage preservation from 37 museums, memorials and heritage preservation administrations in Jiangsu Province.

      Yu Xinhai, deputy director of Museum Division of Jiangsu Province Bureau of Cultural Relics, Han Feng, deputy director of Xuzhou Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Publication, and other leaders were present at the opening ceremony. Lv Chenglong, director of Utensil Department of the Palace Museum, was invited to make the keynote report "A Brief Discussion on the Palace Museum's Experience on Cultural Relics Storage Management". Candidate representatives for "Top 10 Custodians", who were selected by the Collections Preservation Professional Board of Jiangsu Provincial Museum Society, exchanged experiences on their achievements, focused on responsibilities of cultural relics storage, collections management system, preventative preservation, work summaries, exhibition planning, etc. Candidates for "Gold Modal Storehouses" including Yizheng Museum, Suzhou Museum, and Nanjing Museum, shared their experiences on cultural relics storehouse construction. In addition, cultural exhibition technique cooperative enterprises, including Shanghai FineGold Computer System Engineering Co., Ltd., Nanjing Weita Information Technology Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Fenghua Industrial Co., Ltd., and HUATO System Co., Ltd., were invited to introduce cases in Internet Plus museum, network information service platform in cultural exhibition industry, temperature and humidity control in cultural relics storehouses, micro-environment control technique, etc.
