"Knock on Your Doors"-Xuzhou Treasure Coming to Binhu Garden Community

      In the afternoon of April 17, the second phase of Xuzhou museum's voluntary service in community "treasure of visiting your place" was successfully carried out in Binhu Garden community, Hubin street, Quanshan district.

      The theme of this activity is "poetry and painting". Before the activity, volunteers from Xuzhou Museum distributed the brochures of Xuzhou Museum and the volunteers of Xuzhou Museum to the community residents participating in the activity. Hao Xinyao, a volunteer, made a speech about the planning and development of the activity, and introduced the works of the speaker, Sun Meng, a young calligrapher and painter in Xuzhou. The Zhiyan language art Volunteer Association of Jiangsu Normal University started the activity by performing the poetry recital.

      In the following lectures, Mr. Sun Meng, the leader of fine arts discipline in Xuzhou, vice chairman of the association of fine arts of the city, and chairman of the association of fine arts of the economic and Technological Development Zone, brought a special lecture on "painting and calligraphy in Xuzhou, ink dyed Yunlong -- a brief introduction to the treasure of the painting and calligraphy in Xuzhou" to the community residents participating in the activities. The lecture contains the historical significance of the turtle button silver seal unearthed from the tomb of the king of Chu in the Western Han Dynasty， the artistic peak of "thousand mountains are red" by Mr. Li Keran, a great painter in the modern art world; it also involves the extravagant painting style of Li Yu, the late master of Southern Tang Dynasty, who is the emperor of Xuzhou in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, and the integration of the old sculpture master Liu Kaiqu in Xiaoxian County, Xuzhou; it covers the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, Li Lan, Zhang Boying, Qian Shizhi and other predecessors in Xuzhou,  Zhu zhengeng, Zhang lichen, Wei Tianchi and other famous masters in new China, as well as the historical evolution, representative figures, celebrity anecdotes and peak works of Xuzhou calligraphy and painting, have brought a feast of knowledge about the development of Xuzhou calligraphy and painting.

      At the end of the lecture, Mr. Sun displayed his long volume of Chinese painting "the lotus wind in the flourishing age" carefully created for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China, which pushed the activity to a climax. In the interactive process, the community residents actively participated in the contest and got exquisite souvenirs.   

      This activity enhanced the social influence of Xuzhou Museum and achieved the goal of continuous innovation of volunteer service of Xuzhou Museum on the new platform. Based on the principle of "building a passionate, deep and warm volunteer service project", Xuzhou Museum volunteer team once again took on the mission of "the sower of ideas, guardian of history, inheritor of culture".
