Work Plan in 2018

It is a crucial year in 2018 for Xuzhou Museum to create a national first-class museum. We will take this as an overview and focus on planning to promote the following aspects of work:

I. Archaeological excavation work. Do a good job in the rescue archaeological excavation project of our city; complete the work task of water cultural resources survey in Xuzhou City of Jiangsu Province; continue to excavate the Jiawangmiaotai site; focus on the excavation work of the Tushan Tomb No. 2. In 2018, Tushan Tomb No. 2 will enter the excavation of the main burial chamber, strive to basically complete the excavation of the main burial chamber, and do a good job in the protection of the cultural relics at the excavation site. During the excavation, the public archaeological work and publicity will be strengthened, and positive social benefits will be exerted to enrich the cultural connotation of Xuzhou Han Dynasty and expand the cultural influence of Xuzhou Han Dynasty.

II. Protection of cultural relics. Guided by the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" of Jiangsu Province and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the first-class museum of Xuzhou Museum creates the corresponding requirements as the goal, speeding up the system construction, preparing the "Administrative Measures for the Protection of Cultural Relics", promoting the construction of the laboratory, and preparing the "Research Laboratory Construction Plan ". It accelerates the" Protection Project of Painted Pottery Figurines Unearthed from the Tomb of King Chu of Beidong Mountain ", compile the" Protection Plan for the Preservation of Precious Relics in the Collection of Xuzhou Museum "and" The Plan for the Protection and Restoration of the Copper Mirror in the Collection of Xuzhou Museum ". For the protection of cultural relics, continue to compile and prepare the data of national security units declared by Tushan Mountain Han Tomb.

III. Exhibition of cultural relics. We will continue to carry out special exhibitions on public welfare in the museum, and prepare and plan original exhibitions such as "Common Origin-Joint Exhibition of Cultural Relics in the Huanghuai Valley", "Between Inches and Squares-Exhibition of Sealed Mud and Seal Seals in Xuzhou". In terms of cultural relics outreach in 2018, it plans to hold exhibitions in Zhejiang Jiaxing Museum, Xi’an Hanyang Mausoleum Museum, Xinjiang Yili Autonomous Prefecture Museum and Xinjiang Autonomous Region Museum, and participate in cultural relics exhibitions held by the China Cultural Heritage Exchange Center in Saudi Arabia and Hainan Provincial Museum. Preparing to go to Erfurt, Germany, California, and the Shandong Museum Museum for cultural relics exhibition.

IV. Continue to do free and open work. Innovate the content of public services, so that the audience can get more convenient and high-quality services, and the service is more intelligent; carry out the creation and activities of educational brands; create a variety of cultural and educational brands for different ages, different occupations, different regions, and various exhibitions. To carry out more colorful social activities. It will improve the work of volunteers, social education, social research, tourism promotion and friends of museums.

V. Initiate the basic display upgrading and reconstruction project, the palace and monument garden sightseeing environment improvement and transformation (functional area adjustment) project. The specific projects are to upgrade and renovate the four exhibition halls and public areas on the second and third floors of the main exhibition building, and to upgrade the tour environment of Qianlong Palace and Stele Garden, redesign the tourist visit routes, make reasonable adjustments to the functional areas, and build new youth activities center etc.

VI.Promote information publicity and scientific research. VII. Preparations for the opening of the Yutianchi Calligraphy Museum. According to the deployment requirements of the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee, we will speed up the preliminary preparations such as the docking of the exhibits in the Weitianchi Calligraphy Museum, display exhibitions, and personnel recruitment to ensure the smooth opening of the museum.
